Trans TikTok’er Stalked, Harassed, Labeled “Serial Killer”

Sabrina Prater’s TikTok account went viral last week. This lead to them being turned into the FBI.

Sabrina Prater likes to dance. The 35 year old Flint, Michigan resident decided to demonstrate those skills on their newly founded account, and the users who stumbled upon Prater’s content went into panic mode.

For context, Sabrina had never discussed their gender, except to imply enthusiastically in the captions accompanying their videos; “Loving me finally for the first time in my life! I’m living mine!” one video was read in bold letters as she danced around in jeans and a midriff baring t-shirt in a room she is renovating- sometimes with the company of a friendly Husky pup companion.

Because Sabrina often emphasized their enjoyment of “Embracing my feminine” (sic) many people presumed she is transgender, and while previously she had given no instruction one way or another on their pronouns, she has now updated her profile to state: “So it’s clear, I’ve come out completely, I’m a woman, girl, go by her and she.” This article has been updated to reflect this.

Sadly, users of the world’s largest social media site also dubbed Sabrina a Serial Killer. That baseless conspiracy bled over to every well-trafficked corner of the internet, from twitter to facebook, and even to…
