MAGA vs AMERICA: A WAR LOST

On January 6th, 2021 acolytes of Donald Trump openly declared war on the United States of America by attacking the Capitol Building to prevent the Joe Biden, the winner of the 2020 Presidential election. It was a violent, deadly attack.

On January 20th, 2025, the war was won by Donald Trump and his MAGA movement.

And it was a war. Perhaps not the type of war we’ve grown accustomed to, as we witness Ukraine and Gaza collapse under a flurry of weapons of devastation, leaving an apocalyptic scar where children once played.

This was a different war, indeed, but a war no less. It was a war that many didn’t even realize was happening, mostly due to their apathy, detachment or general disinterest. However, Trump and his most loyal members of his MAGA movement knew.

They knew from the moment he lost the 2020 election that they were going to engage in modern war tactics- not with bombs and missiles, but by weaponizing the courts, legislation and the law against their enemies.

Since January 6th, Republicans around the country began introducing localized legislation to gerrymander districts across the US so a democrat could not win.
