I’ve been in communication with Insight NGO, the leading organization in the Ukraine that provides valuable resources and support for LGBTQ citizens. At present, the charity organization, front by queer advocates, has been forced to evacuate most of their regional headquarters.

As Russian President, Vladimir Putin, unleashed a scorched-earth war on millions of innocent Ukrainian civilians in spite of a previous pledge to avoid attacking the innocent, nearly a million people have fled to neighboring countries for safe harbor. Poland, Moldova, Romania and Slovakia has thus far admitted nearly a million displaced refugees and Russian soldiers pummel multiple cities simultaneously. Worse, the threat of nuclear action looms and the Kremlin has broken the Geneva Convention guidelines, mobilizing banned weapons like cluster bombs and vacuum bombs on the border of Belarus- a nation to the North of the capitol city of Kyiv, as the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, aligns himself with Russia in their assault.
