Famous Sara Lee Company Flooded with Sex Comments After SNL Sketch
The popular Sara Lee brand of wholesome bakery goods and pastries received an unexpected surge in attention this weekend and it wasn’t for their cakes or cookies.
The long running NBC television series Saturday Night Live aired a sexually charged sketch featuring singer Harry Styles portraying a gay employee of the company who manages their social media. The character had been called into a meeting with supervisors to explain some questionable conduct flagged on the company’s Instagram account.
The supervisors began with a slide show as evidence of the remarks made by the employee in the comments section of famous boybander Nick Jonas saying “Wreck me Daddy,” and “Destroy Me King,” as well as captioning Sara Lee products with other shockingly blunt sexual references.
The real Sara Lee company, founded in 1939, saw social media users descend by the thousands to post various explicit quotes from sketch after it aired, including “Rail Me to Death.”
