Elon Musk Means Twitter More Toxic for Minorities

I’ve had a few days to sit on the news that Elon Musk has acquired Twitter. I’d wager to say that like most people, I’ve never kept an ear to the wall waiting for Elon Musk news, but as the world’s richest man, it’s virtually impossible not to know who he is, and that’s exactly what he wants.

Whether he’s naming his child X Æ A-Xii, having a public tantrum because an urgent rescue mission declined use of his submergible toys, manipulating the cryptocurrency market via twitter or getting high with king of the Bro-Dudes, Joe Rogan, the Tesla founder has been equally successful getting people talking about him.

And that’s exactly what he wants.

He also wants you to think of him as the real life iteration of Marvel Comics Iron Man character portrayed on film by Robert Downey Jr. That’s exactly what hyper-conservative FOX host Glenn Becks calls him. And indeed, he is super rich with a net worth of a whopping 280 Billion dollars, but to most people, Elon Musk is no superhero.

Until recently, critics of the polarizing figure have called him many things; A narcissist, a man-child, a megalomaniac among the worst. A genius, if you ask Fox News… or, a misunderstood eccentric, at best. Today, his right wing allies, the kind that emerged from the Trump era; The kind that subscribe to extremist…
