Covid Has Exposed An Undeserving Leadership. What Happens Next?

Conspiracy theories, conflicting information, no meaningful guidance and Governments around the world are practicing appeasement politics instead of safeguarding the future.

I know you’re tired. Exhausted even.

I know you’re frustrated, some of you are scared, confused, depressed or angry; Many are grieving, having suffered unthinkable losses of loved ones as we approach the second Christmas in the shadow of a relentless global virus.

I never wanted to writing about COVID. Admittedly, I’m not a virologist, a doctor, a politician or scientist, and throughout the last two years have deferred to better minds when it comes to addressing the unprecedented crisis that continues to burden our society. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, I’ve been triple vaccinated, I’ve trusted leadership to navigate us through the rough waters of an unpredictable pandemic. I wear a mask, still. I keep my distance from others in public. I don’t leave my house unless it is absolutely necessary. I’ve not gone to a birthday party, baby shower, had an outing with friends or gone on a holiday in 2 years. Most of this was by choice, a personal decision that I made in what I believe to be my own best interest and certainly not one that work for everyone.
